It has been a good year for ClearTax. The online tax filing platform founded by Gupta in 2011 (Solanki and Chari joined later) is among 50 startups forecast to be a unicorn in the coming years, according to a report by The New York Times–CB Insights. In October, it raised $50 million in Series B funding from Hong Kong-based Composite Capital. Targeting millennials, ClearTax recently launched its own online mutual fund (MF) distribution platform, and says it is among the top 10 online MF distributors in terms of new customer additions.
