Saurabh Sancheti, 

Sancheti’s professional journey, a little more than a decade old, has already placed him in the top league of India’s corporate world. An alumnus of IIT Roorkee, and IIM Ahmedabad, the young executive holds two full-time jobs. One, he is the group chief financial officer at Jio Platforms, the digital services arm of Reliance Industries Limited. And two, he is the nominee director on the boards of Reliance’s cable businesses, Den Networks and Hathway Cable & Datacom. His academic prowess and understanding of the business domain came in handy last year when Jio Platforms raised an eye-popping $20 billion during the pandemic. He was part of the core deal team which closed the funding rounds in less than nine months with investors such as Google, Facebook, Intel, and others. In his other role, Sancheti led the turnaround of the cable business, which was running at an operating loss when Reliance acquired it. But then, you’d expect no less from someone who worked on several special projects in the chairman’s office for five years, after he was handpicked for the role. That can only bode well for Sancheti’s future.
