Hyundai Motor India launched its much-awaited electric SUV, IONIQ 5 at the Auto Expo 2023 on Wednesday. Hyundai claims its new electric car has 21 SmartSense features including the Advanced Driver Assistance Systems (ADAS).
The Hyundai IONIQ 5 comes with features such as a range of 631 km per full charge, and ultra-fast charging that can charge the vehicle's 72.6 kWh battery from 10% to 80% in 18 minutes with a 350 kW DC charger, and in 21 minutes with a 150 kW DC charger.
The company says that the IONIQ 5 is equipped with vehicle-to-load technology, which supports up to 3.6 kW of power. Through the V2L technology, customers can power up electrical appliances like laptops, phones, and other devices. On the outside, the V2L technology can be used to power up bicycles, e-scooters, camping equipment and other electronic gadgets.

The company says that the IONIQ’s exterior is laden with Parametric Pixel LED Headlamps and tail lamps, skid plate, active air flap, parametric pixel design alloy wheels, and auto flush door handles.
The interior of the vehicle is a blend of technology and design, with dark pebble gray color, eco-processed leather seat upholstery, soft-touch materials on the dashboard & door trims, pixel design on door armrest, seat upholstery & steering wheel, knob-free design and magnetic dashboard.
The interior also has 31.19 cm (12.3") touchscreen infotainment with navigation, bose premium sound system, OTA updates for system and map, and 31.22 cm digital cluster, six airbags, virtual engine sound system, electric parking brake (EPB), all four disc brakes, multi-collision-avoidance brake (MCB) and power child lock.
"Hyundai IONIQ 5 will offer customers over 60 connected car features building on a superlative connected car experience. The all-electric SUV has been offered with a 3-year free Blue Link subscription. Hyundai IONIQ 5 will feature Bluelink services and connected solutions such as Home-to-Car (H2C) with Alexa and Google Voice Assistant, remote services, safety and security, voice assistant, vehicle diagnostics, location-based services, and electric vehicle controls," the company says.
