Smriti Irani is currently trailing behind in the Amethi constituency by a margin of 1,59,240 votes, while Kishori Lal of Indian National Congress (INC) is leading. Rahul Gandhi is leading in both Rae Bareli and Wayanad. Congress leader Rahul Gandhi has taken a lead in Rae Bareli with a significant margin of 3,88,742 votes. He is also in the lead in Wayanad. On the other hand, Union Minister Ajay Mishra 'Teni' is facing defeat in the Kheri constituency of Uttar Pradesh, trailing behind Samajwadi Party candidate Utkarsh Verma 'Madhur' by a margin of 33,361 votes.

The contest between the heavyweight candidates Shashi Tharoor and Rajeev Chandrasekhar is intensifying as the constituency votes are being counted. Initially, both candidates were having tight competition. However, as per the recent data provided by the Election Commission, Tharoor is leading by a margin of 15,759 votes, against his closest rival Chandrasekhar at 4:45 PM.

During the 2019 Lok Sabha elections, Congress faced a major setback in Amethi when Smriti Irani defeated Rahul Gandhi by a margin of 55,000 votes. Rahul Gandhi's decision to contest from Raebareli instead of Amethi had a significant impact on the political landscape. Irani quickly capitalised on the opportunity, claiming that history had been made. However, Congress had nominated Kishori Lal Sharma, a loyalist of the Gandhi family, to contest against Irani.

In the Nagpur Lok Sabha constituency, Union Minister Nitin Gadkari is leading by a significant margin of over 1,26,003 votes against his closest rival, Congress' Vikas Thakre. Gadkari has secured 5,94,262 votes, while Thakre has received 4,68,259 votes by 4:45 PM, according to the updates from the Election Commission.

Uttar Pradesh

Currently, the Samajwadi Party is in a favourable position, leading in 37 out of the 80 Lok Sabha seats in Uttar Pradesh. The BJP closely follows with 32 seats, while the Congress is leading in 7 seats. Together, the Samajwadi Party and Congress have a combined tally of 42 seats in the state. This surge in the Samajwadi Party's seat count from 5 in 2019 to at least 33 in 2024 has been instrumental in the Opposition INDIA bloc's rise in Uttar Pradesh, with Akhilesh Yadav at the helm. In Meerut, BJP's Arun Govil is leading by a margin of 11,398 votes against his closest rival, Sunita Verma of Samajwadi Party.

Kerala

In Kerala, Malayalam movie star Suresh Gopi is leading by 73,573 votes against Communist Party of India's B S Sunil Kumar. Former Congress MP K Muraleedharan is also in the race. This potential win in Kerala could be crucial for the BJP as it would mark their first Lok Sabha seat victory in the state. Thrissur is one of the seats that the BJP has been focusing on during this election.

West Bengal

In Diamond Harbour, West Bengal, Abhishek Banerjee of the TMC is expanding his lead to over 6 lakh votes. He has reached Chief Minister Mamata Banerjee's residence in Kalighat.

Gujarat

In Gujarat, Union Health and Family Welfare Minister Mansukh Mandaviya has emerged victorious from the Porbandar Lok Sabha seat. He defeated former Congress MLA Lalit Vasoya by a substantial margin of over 3.78 lakh votes.

Bengaluru

In Bengaluru, BJP candidate P C Mohan has won the Bangalore Central seat by a margin of 36,000 votes, defeating Congress candidate Mansoor Ali Khan. This marks Mohan's fourth consecutive victory in the Bangalore Central constituency.
