Although media has been one of the worst-performing industries in recent times, Purohit’s businesses managed to survive in a highly-competitive environment; some even gained market share. The digital business reached nearly 100 million unique users and Dainik Jagran INEXT went from a loss-making newspaper to making profit in FY20. She was also at the forefront of launching the interactive digital tabloid version of popular Mumbai daily Mid-Day, to reach out to nearly 100 million readers during the lockdown. Add to this, Purohit also authored her second book—Lady, You’re the Boss—last year.
