Counted among India's top law firms, Shardul Amarchand Mangaldas & Co. [SAM & Co.] facilitated over 300 deals aggregating to around $75 billion between June 2020 and July 2021. Managing partner Pallavi Shroff was in the thick of it all. Under her leadership, the firm led several high-value transactions across sectors, including Byju's acquisition of Aakash Educational Services for $1 billion and Carlyle's acquisition of Hexaware Technologies for $3 billion. "A lot of these deals were brought in by me. The actual execution was done by my senior and junior partners," she says.
