Over 12 years, the Park Hotels Group has grown from being “a side business” at the Apeejay Surrendra Group to one that accounts for about 25% of group revenue. Paul, who pioneered the boutique hotel concept in India, has been keeping busy. The group has opened two new hotels—The Park on Holiday Beach in Goa and the Park Kochi. Paul, who is a member of the Harvard Business School’s India Advisory, says the company will soon enter smaller towns and cities.
