Under Kudva, Crisil expanded across the globe and now serves 14 of the top 20 global investment banks, three of the top 10 asset management companies, three of the top 15 insurance companies, and 37 Fortune 500 companies. The firm supports research coverage on over 2,300 stocks and 2,100 bond issues globally and provides intelligence on over 11,000 firms and 70 sectors. In July, Crisil rated India’s first 50- year bond issued by Mahindra & Mahindra, as well as the country’s first infrastructure debt fund, India Infradebt. Between July 2013 and June 2014, Crisil’s revenue grew by14%, and market capitalisation increased by 60%. Kudva has spearheaded the opening of new research centres in Kuwait, Saudi Arabia, the U.A.E., Egypt, Kenya, Nigeria, and the Philippines, to augment the existing eight centres in Argentina, China, India, and Poland. In September, Kudva left Crisil after a seven-year stint.
