Swati Piramal, 

Last year, Piramal led an R&D team to get regulatory approval for three discovered drugs. She also led the team which launched two patented products: Jungle Magic, children’s perfume, and Lacto Calamine Renue, a skin cream. During the year, the NCE research division, a team which she leads, filed for 85 patents, while 58 patents were issued to them. In 2012, she was also awarded the Padma Shri by the government for her contribution to the science and technology business. She was also elected to the Harvard Board of Overseers, the governing board of the Harvard University.
