The unemployment rate surged primarily due to a significant rise in the rural unemployment rate, essentially in non-agricultural rural India.
Labour force participation rate improves slightly to 47.5% during Q1 2022. Worker participation rate also shows consistent rise, with April-June WPR at 43.9%
