The country’s largest public sector lender reported its highest-ever quarterly profit of ₹5,583 crore in the December quarter, led by an overall improvement in asset quality.
Better ticket yields, higher passenger growth, and lower fuel costs helped the airline post a profit of ₹496 crore compared to a loss of over ₹1,000 crore in the previous quarter.
As if slowing economic growth wasn’t enough, other factors like pollution, a change of government in a state, and legal challenges to projects are further hurting infrastructure growth.
