India urgently needs a national blueprint for urban renewal as urban population booms and is set to rise from 31.8% in 2011 to 38.2% by 2036
But since it is voluntary in nature, it will require strong enforcement from state governments to ensure that its objectives are met.
A new study by strategy consultancy firm Boston Consulting Group’s Centre for Consumer Insight sheds light on consumer trends in urban areas.
