Apart from being appointed as independent director on the board of SBI Capital Markets and elected to the executive council of Nasscom, Jayanthi says she’s been busy “attracting top talent to build an ATeam” at Capgemini India. Between June 2012 and June 2013, she grew the company’s headcount by nearly 14%, to 45,500. That sort of growth doesn’t just expand Capgemini’s presence in India, it also boosts offshore leverage and helps raise the group’s bottom line.
