Under Reddy’s watch, Apollo added world-class reinforcements to its cancer clinics. It also announced a proton therapy centre in Chennai, expected to be commissioned by 2018. Revenue went up by 20% with Ebitda rising 19%. Its share price surged by almost 40% and market cap by Rs 5,500 crore. The company announced that global PE firm Kohlberg Kravis Roberts was investing Rs 550 crore in PCR Investments, Apollo’s holding company.
