When Fidelity was acquired last year by L&T, it was Suyash’s task to oversee a seamless integration and grow the business. She’s done that as far as market share goes: It quadrupled from 0.4% to 1.6%. Employee strength also went up by almost 50% to a headcount of 224. Suyash played a large role in the Fidelity acquisition, among the largest in its sector. Her key goals are to improve retail market share and deepen investor education efforts. Recent results show that she’s also improving income. Losses for the fourth quarter last year were Rs 16 crore, which fell to Rs 4 crore in the first quarter of this year. The fund house aims to break even by next fiscal.
