In a market where most companies are downsizing, Gupta has expanded Tupperware’s headcount by 19%, taking the total strength to 30 in the past year. That’s not all: The number of distributors increased from 90 to 113. India is among the top three fastestgrowing markets for Tupperware, says Gupta, who is a graduate of Chetna College in Mumbai. Recent introductions include TupperSure, a gravity-fed water filter, as well as a niche range of containers called Twinkle Tup for infants. Gupta had taken Tupperware to Bangladesh a couple of years ago, and has added four facilities there, from display units to training centres.
