Despite operating in a highly competitive sector, Godrej Consumer Products Limited has been growing under her leadership. India and Indonesia—which contribute 76% to overall sales— each posted 5% growth in sales in Q1 of FY21. However, the pandemic played spoilsport, impacting its profitability. Godrej, who took additional charge as CEO and MD in July, has been closely involved in promoting an employee-friendly work culture and took a bold stance on LGBTQ issues, offering health insurance for same-sex partners.
