Quality health care made affordable continues to be Apollo’s mantra, and that’s garnering great results. Over the last year or so, the stock’s been on fire, and nearly every brokerage has put a ’buy’ on it. Reddy’s focus is setting up hospitals in tier II and tier III cities (10 came up last year and another 10 are on their way); ramping up the pharmacy business; filling up the diagnostics void in its portfolio by launching high-end screening for diseases such as cancer; increasing the range of in-house branded non-prescriptive drugs; starting robotic surgeries (55 in the first six months); and venturing into new locations such as Mumbai.
